Synopsis: Romantic drama. In the final days of the Second World War, reporter Sara Scott is in love with BBC war correspondent Mark Trevor. Sara's boss and fiancé Carter Reynolds flies in to London and realises not all is well with Sara. When Sara visits Mark's Cornish home town of St Giles, she unexpectedly befriends some people from part of his life that she had not known about, and tries to satisfy her curiosity about Mark's past while keeping her own affair with him quiet.
